Saturday= Lazy Day...Probably not!

For the most part, I had a pretty busy day yesterday. First thing, I went out side and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! So nice and breezy, maybe 72*. Loved it. So I took Thompson out and we went for a walk. Then he got to play on the playset for a while. After that we had lunch and he took a nap. When he woke up, we went to the new little water park they have here on base for the kids. Its not too big, perfect for him. Although I must say that that water was COLD!!! Christina accompanied us yesterday and afterwards we ventured to the grocery store. I was so scattered brain yesterday. I ended up not knowing half of what I needed while I was there and then ended up not having my wallet. Luckily, I have a great friend to bail me out :)

So, needless to say I am still wore out. But, the wonderful hubby is getting home this afternoon and we are going over to Christina and Heath's house to watch the UFC fight. We are having Mexican night. She is making yummy chicken enchiladas and I am bringing the fixings-- salsa, guacamole, and rotel dip. I can't wait!

Thompson is laying down right now, so I am going to do a few loads of laundry, the dishes, pick up the house, and make the salsa. Just wondering...when is my nap time?!? Ha!

Forgot to mention....you are looking at a straight-A student from this summer! Whoo Hoo! Now, I just need to make all A's this next semester! That is my goal and well to graduate!

Rockie, Rockie, Rockie, Rock

Well, Robert is in the field til Saturday night. Which is actually a good thing. I have felt horrible all day and have not done one single thing with the house. Thompson has strolled out every toy he owns and it is still sitting there. He did spill his bowl of popcorn and would not pick it up, so I actually did drag out the vaccuum and clean it up. But believe me, he realized that mommy having to vaccum up the popcorn that he would not pick up, while she is about to vomit and has a splitting headache, was not the best decision he made today. But I guess it could be my fault for giving it to my 2 year old. Oh well.

He did make up for it by coming up to me tonight, with his blanket he went and got from his room and his sippy cup of milk, wanting to sit on my lap. So I plopped him up there and he kept telling me something over and over. Finally... I realized that he was saying "Rockie, Rockie", which is a song that my mom sang to me and my sisters and a song that I now sing to him. I think she may have sang it to us because my mom isn't the most creative in singing nursery rhymes :) Just playing. Well, the words are:

Rockie, rockie, rockie, rock
Rockie, rockie, rockie
Rockie, rockie, rockie rock
Rockie, rockie, rockie

You get the point? Well we all love that song and it is just so natural to sing it to him everytime he is in my lap (which actually hardly ever happens for Mr. Independent). So when he started singing the song it just made me so happy. So we called Nana and let her sing it to him a few times while rocked in the chair.

I am still finishing some last minute homework. I am a procrastinator. I have always been. But I prefer to say that I just work really well under pressure. Ha! Anyways, school will be over on Friday for about 2 weeks. Then the start of my (hopeful) final semester of school! Can't wait!

Anyways, that is about it for today. Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

I might lose my head...

So this is a big crunch week for me! The Last. Week. of. Summer. School!!! Need I say more?! After realizing I am lacking a 10-12 page paper, I am scrambling. So today (minus the usual sanity break) I will be consumed in all things Human Resource Development.

But, today is a great day-- I am 21 weeks! Which means...

How your baby's growing: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot.
You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

It is a great week for Mr. Brycen! I just love to hear how he is developing more and more each week.

Another thing I must mention-- my new found love! :)

Robert went to the store last night to get me some gatorade. Well, he saw these and thought I would like them. Boy, was he right! They are so good. We had a nice conversation about whether they were really good or just hot and that is why we kept popping them in our mouths. Either way, they satisfy all of my crazy pregnant lady cravings! Try them out!

New look!

So, I saw this background and thought it was so cute! I don't have much to report today. Thompson isn't doing the best on the potty training and it seems to just frustrate me more than anything. I find myself getting really mad if I KNOW he has to go potty and he won't! So, I am going to try and take it a little bit slower and let him do it on his own. We will see...

Robert is coming home tonight so I am making the house *sparkle* for him! I bet he will wonder what I bought or what I have done!!! Ha!!!

SHOW US YOUR LIFE- Wedding Party and Flowers/Ceremony

On the most gorgeous day in June 2006, I married my best friend! I was very lucky to have 2 of my best friends stand beside on that day.

Photobucket

This is one of my favorite pictures because you can see how beautiful the flowers really were. I love stargazer lillies and roses. I have a finished copy of this photo hanging in my house. The beautiful girls in the picture are my Maid of Honor, Rebecca. She has been one of my best friends since pre-school. My other bridesmaid was my friend, Bethany. We started working together at Arvest and instantly became best of friends. Love them both dearly.

I don't have many pictures on my new computer and am too lazy to find my wedding CD. Ha! I showed this picture last time, but she was a part of my wedding. My neice, Jilian, was the best flower girl. When getting ready that day, she looked at me and said "I want to look like a princess like Nora!" She insisted that I was the only one to do her hair.

This is my absolutely adorable nephew, Jude. He was about Thompson's age in this picture. Now, he is an almost 5 year old that outweighs his almost 8 year old sister. This picture is too cute! He was our ring bearer and did a great job!

I don't have any pictures of the whole wedding party on my computer :( but I think you saw the 2 cutest kids, so that should be good!

Oatmeal Cookies and Mint Tea

For some odd reason, I have been wanting a huge, gooey oatmeal cookie! So as crazy as I am...Thompson and I head to the grocery store this afternoon to pick up some oats and raisins. Mind you, it is the military pay day. For those who have not been to a military commissary on payday, it is insane. Lines 50+ deep. Luckily, I did remember this and got there before it got too bad. AND I did self-checkout, so that way I hurried along with my 6 or so items.

So, I come home and get all the stuff ready and make me some delicious cookies! I also finished making chicken enchiladas. Which is really good feat because I ended up cutting the end off of my finger this morning. Not. Joking. It is never good to pry frozen tortillas apart with a HUGE sharp knife while your thumb is on the bottom. It is still throbbing, but its ok. I took pictures, but now can't find my camera-- thanks to my lovely little man.

Now, back on track. So here is the website for the cookies! Check them out!

And now for my mint tea. My Aunt Pat, who was probably one of my most favorite people in the entire world, made the best mint tea. Because of her, I fell in love with it when I was really little. My sister Brittany and I were talking about it tonight and how at our old house we use to try and make it like her. We had a huge batch of mint growing right by our back door and we use to go out and just pick a huge amount of it. No matter how many times we tried and tried, it never turned out like hers. Since I am not in the most mint-growing desirable climate, I have resorted to the next best thing--

It is definitely not my Aunt Pat's tea, but it always reminds me of her when I make it. And for that, it is the best!

Potty Training: Day 3

Well, Thompson has went on the potty three times today. He has had a few accidents, but I am just proud he is trying. I just need to keep in mind that he does not know to go to the potty everytime and that he will eventually learn. It will definitely take time.

Right now, I am watching Paula Deen and she just made some yummy looking chocolate chip cookies. I have had a huge chocolate craving here lately. I really hope it passes soon. That or they will kick me out of the dr's when I go back for all the weight I have gained! Gees!!! How come I can't crave broccoli or something healthy (crappy) like that?!? I do like fruit. But there is only so many plums I can eat in a day. And I do believe it defeats the purpose of eating healthy if you have like 6 plums in a setting. I am just guessing tho. :)

I did make a yummy, yummy dish last night. Jalapeno Chicken with cream cheese and bacon! Enough said!

I highly suggest this one and if you want to make it, here is the recipe:
