New house?!?!
So, a lot has been going on lately. As we have settled in more here in Oceanside, we have figured out that we made the wrong decision about where we are living. Robert's work is about 30 minutes away, and even though that's not a huge deal itself, it is when you have a demanding work schedule. Robert works a lot when he is on cycle. There are some nights where he had to stay there because it didn't make sense to drive home late at night just to get up a couple hours later to be back at work. Another huge thing is cost. It costs A LOT of money driving a pickup truck up there everyday. He tries to ride his motorcycle as much as possible, but many days they work down dirt roads or it's raining, etc. So...
We put in a request to move. We have been trying for about a month or so. We had to wait on Robert's command to write a letter recommending him for the transfer. Since the wait list is so long for the houses we qualify for (based on rank), they had to recommend us for staff housing (staff sergeants and above) which has immediate availability. We got our letter last Thursday, turned it in with the letter we had to write and now we are just waiting. They came by this morning to do a pre-inspection on our house. They make you go through a set of inspections to make sure that you have not destroyed your house and they would want to lease a house to you again. The lady said our house looked fantastic and that they wouldn't have a problem signing off on the papers. So now our request goes to the housing manager to sign off on. If she approves, then hopefully we will get to move asap.
I went and looked at some of the houses in the district we would be in. They are older than what we live in now, but the layout is great! It is open, but still has a small playroom and a dining room. The living room is actually bigger than what we have now. The bedrooms are smaller, but I am not a huge bedroom person, I would prefer a bigger living room. We would also get a nice sized fenced in backyard with a covered patio. That will be so nice! The only things I will be giving up is 1.) My nice big kitchen. The new one will be small. Big downfall. 2.) My proximity to Chick-fil-A. Yes, this is a deciding factor! ha!! 3.) Target. Love Target! Hopefully the closest one won't be too far away.
So, we are all excited around here! Let's just hope everything goes smoothly. Ideally, I would love to be in the new house by the end of the month. Will it happen??? Probably not. So my next goal would be Thanksgiving.
I will keep you all updated!

10 Things...
I saw this on another blog the other day and thought it was neat!
10 things I am loving right now...
1. Turkey Chili-- I made a huge pot and ate a huge bowl complete with cheese and sour cream. And maybe a cornbread muffin. Or two.
2. Target! When Robert got home today I headed to Target to get some household essentials. I walked around just enjoying the quietness without the kids. I actually got to look around and shop! Usually one kid is crying or the other one is needing my attention. This prevents me from soaking in all the joys of Target. But not today!
3. Ellen-- I love her show. She is hilarious. I don't watch too many shows throughout the day, but I do look forward to 3pm when her show comes on.
4. Cupcakes! Thompson's Toy Story party was yesterday and we had a few cupcakes leftover. Needless to say I have been on a sugar high for 2 days now!
5. Quints by Surprise-- Love this new show on TLC. The family is so cute and they are from the south (which gets them extra points for that alone!). I DVR'ed it tonight and am sitting down watching it now.
6. My Boys-- Brycen has been so vocal lately. He sings to me (not joking!) and everytime he says "dadada" he blows a raspberry afterwards. Too funny. He is such a little man. And Thompson has been cracking me up all day. He has been going around singing "Go Brittany! Go Nana! Go train tracks! Go space rocket!" to the tune of "Go Shorty, it's your birthday". Oh that boy is too much.
7. My husband-- he came home today, told me to go spend some time alone shopping, didn't gripe when I came home with more than I went for, and went to be early leaving me the tv. Love. Him.
8. My Apple Cider candle. It smells SOOO good. And with today's weather being rainy and cold, it was just what I needed.
9. A new project I have in mind. I have the BEST idea... I just need to find the PERFECT frame!
10. Anytime I see a car with Arkansas tags makes me so happy! I feel like CA is another world out here, and if I see someone from AR it might make feel more at "home". I also look in to see if I know them, which I usually don't. But the other day at the commissary, Thompson was sporting his Hogs hat and a girl behind me asked if we were from AR. I told her yes, from the Fayetteville area and turns out she was from the same area. We actually graduated high school the same year. Our schools played each other in sports, so I am sure that we have ran into each other a few times growing up. Pretty neat!

Happy 3rd Birthday Thompson!
Wow! I can't believe that my baby boy is 3 years old.
As many of you know, Thompson decided that he wanted to come into the world at a Razorback football game! It was pretty embarrasing, but luckily he waited til the next morning to make his grand entrance!
Thompson--
You have brought so much joy into our lives. You are such a happy kid. You love going up and talking to anyone and everyone. Like your Nana, you have never met a stranger!
You are such a great big brother. You are never foul towards your brother and are so protective over Brycen. You are always helping me with anything I need and are quick to tell me if I am doing something wrong. (You must get that from me!) :)
You are a talker. Plain and simple. You talk and act like you are 10 years old. You also like to think you are as big as a 10 year old too. Many times a day, I have to remind you have to listen to me because I am the momma. Your reply usually is "And you listen to me because I am the BOY!" Yes, yes you are.
Oh, Thompson! You have just a sweet spirit. Yes, you can test my limits, but most of the time you come up to me and give me sugar, or a hug, or tell me that you love me. It melts my heart. I owe it to you, little man, for making me the person I am today. Because of you, I want to make sure that you know that you are always loved and taken care of. Even when your daddy is threatening to kick you out of the house when you turn 18, just know that your momma is there to make sure that you will always have a place to stay and we can kick daddy out together ;)
I love you Thompson Lee! You are the coolest 3 year old I know!
Your stats:
Height- 37 inches
Weight- 29.5 pounds
Clothes- 3T in shirts and jeans, 18 months - 24 months in shorts (You are a skinny mini!)
Shoes- 9
You are a picky eater. You love chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, waffles, yogurts, raisins, and pudding. You are a sweets eater. You don't eat much, but when you are hungry-- watch out!!
You still sleep 12 hours a night and take a 2-3 hour nap.
You love to watch movies. Toy Story, Diego and Dora, and anything on Nick Jr and Disney are your faves! You love playing with trains, airplanes, cars, and action figures. You are such a boy!
So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give 'em praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let them sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.
He's gonna love me and hate me along the way
Years are gonna fly by, I already dread the day
He's gonna hug his momma, he's gonna shake my hand
He's gonna act like he cant wait to leave
But as he drives out, he'll cry his eyes out
If he's anything like me

Happy 3rd Birthday Sweet Boy!
We love you so much!!
These two songs always make me tear up and make me think about my baby.
Billy Dean's "Let Them Be Little"
So let them be little,
'Cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give 'em praise,
Give them love every day.
Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle,
Let them sleep in the middle,
Oh, but let them be little.
Brad Paisley's "Anthing Like Me"
He's gonna love me and hate me along the way
Years are gonna fly by, I already dread the day
He's gonna hug his momma, he's gonna shake my hand
He's gonna act like he cant wait to leave
But as he drives out, he'll cry his eyes out
If he's anything like me

It's PARTY TIME!!!
We are EXCITED!!!
Although we have all been sick. Yuck! I have a sinus infection, Thompson is sick again with another sinus infection, and Brycen has a cough and is teething. Robert is finally feeling better after being sick for a week.
So, we have been shopping, preparing, and making lists. I have been trying to clean the house, but find it impossible to do with a (almost) 3 year old and a 9 month old destroying it behind me. Thompson has a new thing of dumping out his big buckets of toys. I make him pick them all back up, but it literally takes 2 hours to finally get it done. That boy...
So we have ordered the cake and bought some presents! We are ready to party!
Here is the birthday boy himself with his own video message about this weekend!
Can't forget the Razorbacks, right?! Go Hogs!!
